On December 31, 1986, 40-year-old Daniel A. Poulos went missing while piloting a Cessna 310R, tail number N5462J, from Jamestown to Buffalo, New York. The flight was reported missing at approximately 6:00 PM. At the time of his disappearance, Poulos was described as a white male, 6'0" tall, weighing 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was reportedly wearing a front-zip navy jacket, a white shirt with a plaid overshirt, navy blue pants, and athletic socks.
