On June 16, 1989, 11-year-old Tara Lea Wetzel was a passenger on a plane that tragically crashed into the Cook Inlet in Alaska. The aircraft was returning from a bible camp located in Port Alsworth when it reportedly ran out of fuel over the water. Tara, along with the other occupants, has been missing since the incident and is presumed to be deceased. The case is being handled by the Alaska State Troopers.
