On August 12, 1989, 60-year-old James Russell Slaybaugh was last seen in Palmer, Alaska. He was a passenger on a Cessna N1211V aircraft that departed from the Caribou Creek, King Mountain area. The flight, carrying three other individuals, Edgar McCrary, Robert Horn, and Richard Floyd, was reported overdue.
