Benjamin Gomez Sagun Jr., a 42-year-old man from Cape Saint Claire, Maryland, was last seen on the morning of February 26, 2012. He left his home at 6:30 a.m., telling his mother he was heading to church in Annapolis. However, he never arrived at the 700 block of Ridgely Avenue, where his church was located. Before leaving, Sagun left a cryptic note stating, "I'm going to the father who loves me," which led his family to express concerns about his mental well-being and fear for
his safety. His family reported him missing later that evening when they realized he had not returned home.
Sagun was driving a blue 2002 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck with Maryland license plate 21L939. Neither he nor his vehicle has been seen since that day. Despite extensive searches, no significant leads or evidence have surfaced regarding his whereabouts. Sagun was known to frequent the Broadneck Library in Annapolis, but authorities found no signs of him there either. Given the note he left and the sudden disappearance, concerns arose that he may have been in emotional distress at the time.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department has been involved in the investigation but has not reported any breakthroughs in the case. As of now, Sagun's disappearance remains unsolved, and his family continues to seek answers.
