Robert Lester Jones, a 32-year-old man from Newberry, South Carolina, was last seen on July 24, 2016. He was reported to have walked out of the Newberry County Memorial Hospital at around 7:00 p.m. that evening. Two days later, on July 26, Jones' vehicle was discovered abandoned on Queens Church Road, a dead-end gravel road near Interstate 26, within the Sumter National Forest. His personal belongings were found inside the vehicle, but there were no signs of foul play at the scene.
