In the spring of 2019, the life of 27-year-old Paige Noel Coffey took a turn that would leave her family searching for answers for years to come. Living in Bratenahl, Ohio, Paige was last seen on May 7, 2019. Surveillance footage captured her leaving a Home Depot in the Steelyard Commons area of Cleveland with her boyfriend. Ten days later, after not hearing from her, which was highly uncharacteristic, her mother officially reported her missing to the Bratenahl Police Department. At the time of her disappearance, Paige was working at a retail clothing store and was described by those who knew her as a dependable and artistic individual. Her family's concern grew with each passing day as there was no activity on her bank accounts or social media, indicating something was seriously wrong. The investigation into Paige's disappearance involved local law enforcement and eventually the Cleveland Division of the FBI. As time went on, community and media efforts aimed to keep her story in the public eye. The FBI announced a reward for information that could lead to locating her, which was later increased. Despite these efforts and a possible but unconfirmed sighting, years passed without any significant breakthroughs, leaving her loved ones in a painful state of uncertainty. The family held onto hope, relentlessly pushing for answers and cooperating with organizations to raise awareness about Paige's case. The agonizing wait for answers came to a tragic end in the spring of 2026. On April 17, skeletal remains were discovered inside a garbage bag during the cleanup of a vacant home on East 142nd Street in Cleveland. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed through DNA that the remains belonged to Paige Coffey. The discovery brought devastating news to her family, who had held out hope for a different outcome. A statement released on their behalf expressed their devastation and gratitude to everyone who had searched for Paige and helped keep her story alive. The investigation into her death is ongoing, with the cause and manner of death still pending. The case, which began as a missing person report, has now shifted to a death investigation, with authorities continuing to seek information from the public to bring a final sense of justice for Paige and her family.
