Jonni Perkins, a 39-year-old woman from Cleveland, Ohio, vanished on May 27, 2001, leaving behind a life and a community that continues to seek answers. On the day she disappeared, Jonni had attended a Cleveland Indians baseball game. Afterward, she and some friends went to The Little Bar, located on Frankfort Avenue. She was last seen in the bar's parking lot, near her blue Plymouth Neon. Jonni was wearing jeans and a leather "Tribe" jacket at the time of her disappearance. A witness reported seeing her leaning against her car and seemingly having difficulty breathing. She reportedly said her goodbyes to her friends and was expected to drive to her home in the Tremont neighborhood, a short distance away. However, Jonni never made it home. The investigation into Jonni's disappearance began after she failed to show up for work and could not be reached. Her apartment on Starkweather Avenue was found locked and undisturbed, with none of her personal belongings missing. There has been no activity on her bank accounts or credit cards since the day she went missing. A significant and troubling aspect of the case is that her car, a blue Plymouth Neon with Ohio license plate number CQY5786, has also never been found. This detail has led to various theories, including the possibility of a carjacking. Despite searches of the river and surrounding areas, no trace of Jonni or her vehicle has been discovered. Jonni was described as a responsible and well-liked person, who had managed several popular establishments in the Cleveland area, including Jake's in the Marriott Hotel and Shooters In The Flats. At the time of her disappearance, she was employed at Harpo's Sports Bar in Strongsville. She had a distinctive tattoo of Chief Wahoo, the former Cleveland Indians logo, on one of her ankles, and a unicorn tattoo on one of her shoulder blades. Jonni also had a serious medical condition, pulmonary fibrosis, which required prescription medication. Her family has remained relentless in their search for answers, expressing their belief that foul play was involved in her disappearance as it was highly uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning. The case remains an active missing person investigation with the Cleveland Police Department.
