A family outing on a warm June day in 2020 turned into a nightmare that continues to haunt a family and community. On June 11, eight-year-old Tarie Price was enjoying the day at Schramm Park State Recreation Area in Gretna, Nebraska, with her mother and other children. Known to her loved ones as "Juicy," Tarie was playing on a sandbar in the Platte River when the river's powerful current suddenly swept her away.
