In June of 2020, 78-year-old Russell Jay Mandigo was last seen at his home in Oldtown, Idaho. A fire subsequently destroyed his residence. The circumstances surrounding the blaze and his disappearance raised immediate concern among those who knew him and the authorities who responded to the scene. His vehicle was discovered parked at the burned-down home, suggesting he may have been present when the fire occurred. Initially, it was tragically presumed that he had died in the fire.
