In the spring of 1988, a 34-year-old Native American woman named Mary Eleanor Thacker, who also went by the name Mary Sargent, vanished from the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony in Nevada. An enrolled member of the Washoe Tribe, Mary was a mother with a family rooted in her community. When she was last seen, she was reportedly in the company of her boyfriend.
