Frederick Gabriel, 56, was last seen on September 18, 2015, in San Juan County, Utah. He had left his home in Lehi after a disagreement with his girlfriend, heading for the Woodenshoe Trail in the Elk Ridge area, a location he was familiar with. His vehicle was found abandoned at the trailhead, where it had reportedly been parked for about two weeks before his disappearance was reported.
Gabriel was carrying camping gear, including a black and white dome tent, a green rain fly, and a blue backpack. Despite extensive searches, no trace of Gabriel has been found, and the case remains unsolved. Search efforts were concentrated in the rugged terrain around the Woodenshoe Trail, but as of now, there have been no significant developments. Authorities continue to seek information that could lead to closure in the case.
