Juan Francisco Hernandez, a 24-year-old from Pasadena, Texas, was last seen on July 26, 2017. He was traveling with his friend Roberto Franco Jr. on what was meant to be a brief trip to visit family in Agualeguas, Nuevo León, Mexico. Hernandez was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, and the two men crossed the U.S.-Mexico border near Brownsville. However, neither Hernandez nor Franco ever made it to their destination, and they have not been seen since.
Hernandez’s vehicle was tracked crossing the border, but no further information about their whereabouts has surfaced.
Shortly after their disappearance, Franco’s family received a ransom call demanding $5,000 for their release, which they paid. Unfortunately, this did not lead to any new information or their safe return. Despite several police reports filed in Mexico and efforts from both Mexican and U.S. authorities, the case remains unresolved.
