Summary based on the NamUs case record (MP72281) and 4 other sources
Roberto Franco Jr., a 21-year-old from Pasadena, Texas, was last seen on July 28, 2017. He was reported to have been wearing an orange Magellan shirt, light beige carpenter shorts, camouflage Crocs, and a black cap with a black and white American flag on the front. Roberto has a distinctive tattoo of his last name, "Franco," on his right forearm.

Roberto was last seen traveling with a man named Juan Francisco Hernandez in a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. They were reportedly en route to visit family in Agualeguas, Mexico. The two men crossed the border at Los Indios, but they never made it to their destination. Shortly after his disappearance, Roberto's mother received a ransom call demanding $5,000 for the release of both men, which she paid, but nothing came of it. Since then, neither Roberto nor Hernandez has been seen or heard from.

The case remains unsolved, and both men are still missing. Investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward, as the circumstances surrounding their disappearance suggest possible foul play. The Pasadena Police Department continues to investigate the case.
