In the autumn of 2021, concern grew for the well-being of Bobby Lee Armstead, a 38-year-old man from Goshen, Ohio. The last confirmed sighting of him was on November 6, 2021. The day before, he had spent the night at a friend's house. The circumstances of his disappearance were unsettling; his vehicle, a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, was discovered abandoned in a field, stuck in the mud. Inside the car were all of his personal belongings, which he had seemingly left behind before heading into the nearby woods. A missing person's report was officially filed on November 8, 2021, launching an investigation into his whereabouts. Bobby was a distinctive individual, and his physical description was widely circulated in the hopes that someone might recognize him. He stood at five feet seven inches tall and weighed between 180 and 185 pounds. He had brown hair and blue, almond-shaped eyes. His body was adorned with numerous tattoos, including stars on both of his shoulder blades, a Batman symbol on each shoulder, and the name "Sara" on his right ankle. He also had several piercings, including gauges in his ears. When last seen, he was believed to be wearing all black clothing, with the addition of a long-sleeved white shirt over his black one. For nearly three years, his case remained unresolved, leaving his loved ones in a state of uncertainty. Tragically, the search for Bobby Lee Armstead came to a sorrowful conclusion when he was found on September 2, 2024. Regrettably, he was located deceased. The investigation into his disappearance had been a source of frustration for his family, who felt more could have been done in the critical early stages. Ultimately, the case of Bobby Lee Armstead is a somber reminder of the anguish that surrounds a missing person's case and the devastating impact it has on those left behind, even after a resolution is found.
