Clarence Anglin, aged 31, was last seen on the night of June 11, 1962, when he, along with his brother John Anglin and fellow inmate Frank Morris, executed a daring escape from Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary in San Francisco Bay. The men had been serving time for bank robbery and had spent months meticulously planning their escape, fashioning a raft from raincoats and creating dummy heads to fool the guards into thinking they were asleep in their cells.
