On April 20, 1970, Eldie Martin Sylvester attended the docks at Cedar Point, Georgian Bay, Ontario to await the "scoot" to Christian Island. Witnesses believe that he may have left on foot to walk home to Christian Island across the ice. He has not been seen since.
