In the late summer of 1982, a man named Michael Peter Roshko, aged 41, vanished from the area of Burntwood River near Thompson, Manitoba. The last time anyone is known to have seen him was on August 9, 1982. As days turned into a week with no word from Michael, concern began to grow among his friends. It was unusual for him to be out of contact for so long, and this unsettling silence prompted them to reach out to the authorities for help.
