In the small community of Haileybury, Ontario, a now long-unanswered question began on March 4, 1999, with the disappearance of 35-year-old Richard Ranger. Earlier that day, Richard, who was also known by the nickname 'Shrimp,' had been admitted to Temiskaming Hospital for a psychiatric assessment as he had been experiencing a mental health crisis.
