In the winter of 2014, a 38-year-old man named Ally Hassan Mabruki disappeared from Toronto, Ontario, leaving behind a quiet but troubling mystery. On January 23rd of that year, he was at one of the city's Refugee Intake Shelters. Staff at the shelter later recalled hearing Ally mention that he was on his way to see his lawyer to discuss his refugee claim. This was the last time anyone reported seeing him.
