Marvin Powell, a 36-year-old African American man, was tragically killed in a mass shooting on February 3, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred outside Reynold’s Lounge in the Grand Crossing neighborhood. The shooting erupted after a fight inside the bar spilled outside, leading to a chaotic scene where seven people were shot. Marvin Powell was shot in the neck and chest and later succumbed to his injuries at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
