On July 9, 2017, Jason McGrath was last seen modifying his kayak at the family's cottage in Cape George, Nova Scotia. Jason had indicated that he intended on taking the kayak out onto the water. The kayak and Jason’s other personal belongings were recovered on a shore in Judique, Nova Scotia.
