In the late spring of 2025, a 37-year-old man named Ryan David Johnson was last seen by his family in British Columbia. The exact date of his last contact with family is unclear, but it is believed to have been sometime in mid-May. At the time of his disappearance, he was in Castlegar and was seen walking along Highway 3A, seemingly equipped for the outdoors with a tent, a sleeping bag, and some clothing.
