On a cold day in March of 1976, a young mother named Diane Marie Bourne vanished from her home in Ashton, Ontario. The 22-year-old female lived with her husband, Gordon Bourne, and their two young children on a farm property that also housed a wrecking yard on Kidd Road. Diane was a dedicated government employee who commuted daily to her job in Ottawa. On March 6, 1976, she was last seen at her residence, reportedly wearing a 3/4 length green and white winter coat.
