Maria "Natalie" Ruperto, 27, has been missing since July 22, 1989, from the Allston/Brighton area of Boston, Massachusetts. Born in Italy and raised in New York City, Ruperto was a resident of Boston at the time of her disappearance. Friends last had contact with her on that Saturday and have stated that she was scheduled to attend a union meeting on Freeport Street in Dorchester the following day, July 23, 1989, but she never made it to the meeting.
Concerns for her welfare grew when she failed to show up for her job on the morning of July 24. A few days later, on July 27, 1989, she was officially reported as a missing person to the Boston Police Department. The same night she was reported missing, her vehicle was found abandoned in Dorchester.
In the initial stages of the investigation in August 1989, the Boston Police Department was actively "checking out leads" but had "no explanation" for her disappearance. At the time, authorities stated that there was no indication of violence involved in her case. Maria Natalie Ruperto is described as a White/Caucasian female with black hair and brown eyes.
