Heidy Julissa Cac Choc was reported missing from La Verne, California on April 11, 2022. At the time of her disappearance, she was 14 years old. She was last seen leaving her class at Bonita High School at 2:40 p.m. Her foster mother reported her missing at 5:23 p.m. after she failed to meet her near the school.
According to the La Verne Police Department, investigators learned that Heidy's parents, who reside in Guatemala, had demanded that she return to her home country. They had allegedly stated that if she did not return, they would have someone return her. The reason for her parents' demand for her return has not been publicly disclosed.
Heidy is listed as a missing child on the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's website under case number 1447884. As of February 2026, she would be 18 years old.
