On October 5, 1987, 75-year-old James Jamison was last seen in Burlington, Iowa. A postal carrier witnessed him getting into a taxi with suitcases outside his mobile home located in the 3100 block of Sunnyside Avenue. Prior to this, Jamison had informed friends of his intention to take a trip to Chicago. He has not been seen or heard from since. His disappearance was considered uncharacteristic as he left behind numerous family keepsakes.
