On the evening of July 15, 1963, sixteen-year-old Mary Ann Ruth Switalski attended a carnival at St. Priscilla's Catholic Church in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. She was with friends and was last seen at approximately 10:15 p.m. At the time, she was wearing a black sleeveless blouse, white shorts, and straw sandals.
