Lydia Thompson, a 43-year-old woman from Chicago, Illinois, disappeared on July 5, 1996, along with her husband, Everett, and their two sons, Everett Jr. and Andrew. The family was last seen at their home in the Chatham neighborhood. Tensions had been high in the household due to Lydia’s brother, Kenneth White, who had been staying with them after being released from prison.
