On May 15, 1992, 38-year-old Stephen Alan Rosenblum was last seen at the pizzeria where he worked in Ocoee, Florida. He failed to collect his final paycheck and has not been seen or heard from since. At the time of his disappearance, Rosenblum was leading a somewhat transient lifestyle, staying at various residences. Despite this, he maintained a close and amicable relationship with his ex-wife and their twin sons, making it a point to remain in the Ocoee area to be near them.
His ex-wife was the one who reported him missing.
A significant development in the case came when Rosenblum's silver and black 1987 Hyundai was discovered abandoned on a remote logging road in Clendenin, West Virginia, approximately 850 miles from where he was last seen. The vehicle's original Florida license plate, EXY90Q, had been replaced with a stolen Texas license plate. Inside the car, investigators found a sleeping bag, a quilt, and two flannel shirts, all of which his ex-wife identified as belonging to him. Law enforcement processed the vehicle and discovered a single latent fingerprint on the interior rearview mirror. For years, the fingerprint remained unidentified, leaving investigators with few leads.
The investigation into Stephen Rosenblum's disappearance remained cold for over three decades until a breakthrough occurred in May 2024. The previously unidentified fingerprint from his car was matched to an individual described as a career criminal who resided in the area where the vehicle was found. The name of this person has not been made public. Despite this new lead, Rosenblum's whereabouts are still unknown, and there was no other evidence at the scene where his car was discovered to indicate what might have happened to him.
