In June of 2023, John Starr Vang, a 34-year-old Hmong man, left his home in St. Paul, Minnesota, for a work opportunity in the remote area of Honeydew, California. His family last had contact with him in August 2023, and he has not been heard from since. Vang, described as being approximately 5'2" tall and weighing 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, never returned to his home in Minnesota.
