In the winter of 2025, concern grew for 35-year-old James Lynn Keller, a man last seen in Vilas, North Carolina. Reports from the Watauga County Sheriff's Office indicated that he was last observed in the vicinity of Tom Perry Road. Keller was known to travel on foot as he did not own a vehicle.
