William Merrick Carter, a 48-year-old man, went missing from Lincolnton, North Carolina, on September 21, 2022. He was last seen walking along North Aspen Street near his home on Mauney Drive. At the time of his disappearance, Carter was carrying a green backpack and had no access to a vehicle, cell phone, or active bank account.
