On the evening of Friday, March 14, 2025, 52-year-old Joseph Gagnon of Colchester, Vermont, was involved in a single-vehicle crash on the Burlington Beltline . His car veered off the road and crashed through fencing on the east side of the highway at approximately 7:44 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle abandoned and believed that Gagnon had fled on foot into the nearby wooded area. ,
