In the late evening of February 9, 2024, 32-year-old William Danton Holland walked away from the Olalla Recovery Center on LaLa Cove Lane in Olalla, Washington, and vanished. A musician from the Bellingham area, William, who was known as Will, was new to Kitsap County and had little familiarity with the region. He was 6'1" tall, weighed around 185 pounds, and had sandy hair and blue eyes. Concern mounted quickly as it was discovered that he had left all of his personal belongings behind, including his wallet, cell phone, and his guitar. His sudden departure without any essentials and into an unknown area marked the beginning of a distressing search for answers for his family and friends. Following his disappearance, the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office opened an investigation into the whereabouts of William Holland. There were several unconfirmed sightings of him in the Olalla area in the days that followed, up until February 15, 2024, but none of these leads could be substantiated. After that date, there was no further contact or any credible sightings reported. One of the unconfirmed reports suggested he may have been wearing a dark, puffy jacket that had a tear in it, along with a dark hoodie, but there was no definitive clothing description at the time he went missing. The Washington State Patrol's Missing and Unidentified Persons Unit also became involved, helping to raise public awareness of Will's case. The lack of concrete information surrounding his disappearance has been a source of continued pain for his loved ones. Law enforcement and family have urged the public to come forward with any information that might lead to his location. The investigation remains open, a difficult situation for those who are waiting for news. The case of William Holland is a perplexing one, centered on a man who left a recovery facility on foot late one evening, leaving behind all his possessions and disappearing into an unfamiliar landscape with very few clues to follow.
