Hunter Bruner, a 24-year-old soldier stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, was last seen on April 29, 2020. Bruner was assigned to the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade and had been expected to check in with his unit virtually the following day, but he never did. After missing the scheduled check-in, his unit searched his barracks and surrounding areas, eventually reaching out to local law enforcement and the Army's Criminal Investigation Command (CID).
