On July 29, 1955, Clarence Simons, age 31, went missing after a boating accident on Moon Lake in Duchesne County, Utah. Simons was one of five people aboard a small aluminum boat when their trawling gear got caught in the motor, causing the boat to capsize. Witnesses reported that the boat, which had two motors, was circling uncontrollably before overturning.
