A summer afternoon on Moon Lake in Duchesne County, Utah, took a tragic turn on July 29, 1955, leading to the disappearance of 30-year-old Calvin Wayne Bosen, his wife Ruby Mae Bosen, and her brother, Clarence Delmer Simons. The group of five, which also included another married couple, A.G. and Lucy Smith, had rented a small aluminum boat from the Moon Lake Lodge for a day of recreation on the water.
