Veronica "Voni" Safranski, a 40-year-old woman from Argyle, Minnesota, disappeared on October 26, 1996, after attending a Halloween party at Mick's Bar in Warren, Minnesota. Safranski was last seen around 12:30 a.m. when her friend lost track of her after returning from the restroom. Witnesses reported seeing her leave with a man named Kevin Skjerven in his black Dodge Power Wagon pickup truck. Safranski has not been seen since.
In the weeks following her disappearance, a belt believed to be part of Safranski's costume was discovered along a rural road, but no other significant evidence surfaced. Authorities have long considered Skjerven a person of interest in the case, particularly due to his history of sexual assault convictions. Although he admitted to leaving the bar with Safranski, he claimed to have no knowledge of what happened to her afterward. He has never been charged in connection with her disappearance.
Despite numerous searches and ongoing investigations, Safranski's case remains unsolved. Her four children continue to seek closure, hoping for any new leads that might finally reveal what happened to their mother that night. Investigators remain hopeful that someone with information will come forward to help solve this decades-old mystery.Last Seen: Oct 26, 1996
