On August 20, 2001, 31-year-old Alvin Woodrow Palmer, Jr., known to his loved ones as "Brother," disappeared from Richton, Mississippi. That morning, he left his mother's house with a friend, Kenny Shaw. In the early afternoon, the two stopped at Brewer Grocery, a convenience store on Highway 42 East, just outside of Richton.
