Nathaniel Edison Williams, a 21-year-old student at the University of Minnesota, Morris, was last seen on September 28, 2004. He told his roommate he was heading out for a fishing and hunting trip in the Two Harbors area, with plans to return by October 10. Nathaniel, an avid outdoorsman, left with two fishing rods, a shotgun, and a blue down comforter.
His teal and white 1966 Ford F-150 was found two days later on Kawishiwi Lake Road near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Lake County, Minnesota. The vehicle was low on gas, but there was no sign of Nathaniel or his equipment.
A thorough search of the surrounding area, involving multiple agencies and cadaver dogs, yielded no trace of him. Authorities have found no evidence of foul play or suicide, and his disappearance remains unsolved. Nathaniel's family has described him as close to them and noted that he had no known issues in school or in his personal life.
