Shani Ann Estes, 36, was last seen on November 24, 2005, at her estranged husband's residence on Emery Avenue in Bakersfield, California. At the time, Shani and her husband were separated, and she had been living with friends in Oildale. On the night of her disappearance, her husband had paid for her to stay in a hotel so she could spend time with their young daughter.
