Shani Ann Estes, 36, was last seen on November 24, 2005, at her estranged husband's residence on Emery Avenue in Bakersfield, California. At the time, Shani and her husband were separated, and she had been living with friends in Oildale. On the night of her disappearance, her husband had paid for her to stay in a hotel so she could spend time with their young daughter.
However, around 2:00 a.m., Shani arrived at her husband's house with the child, and the couple reportedly argued for several hours.
According to her husband, while Shani was on the phone, he went to another room with their daughter. He then heard a door slam and discovered that Shani was gone. She left behind her vehicle and some personal belongings and has not been seen or heard from since. Shani had a history of leaving without notifying anyone, but she never stayed away for more than a few days.
Despite extensive investigations, Shani’s case remains unsolved, and her husband has not been labeled as a suspect. Kern County authorities continue to seek any leads that might provide answers regarding her disappearance.Last Seen: Nov 24, 2005
