Esperanza Salazar-Rodriguez, a 51-year-old woman, was last seen on August 1, 2014, in Bakersfield, California. She had informed her family that she planned to visit relatives in Mexico and even called them on the day of her disappearance, stating she was at the border. However, Esperanza never arrived to meet her family and has not been heard from since.
