Deisy Herrera, a 3-year-old girl, went missing from her family's home in Bakersfield, California, on December 28, 1987. She was last seen playing hide-and-seek with her siblings in the front yard of their residence on Washington Street. When her siblings called for her, Deisy had vanished, sparking a massive search effort. She was last seen wearing a white mesh t-shirt with pink and blue stripes, pink sweatpants, and white sneakers.
