In the late summer of 2006, a 35-year-old woman named Roxann Ellison vanished from Phoenix, Arizona. On September 3, 2006, she was at a relative's home located in the vicinity of 10th Street and Romley in the southern part of the city. After that day, her family and friends never heard from her or saw her again. At the time she went missing, Roxann was living a transient lifestyle and did not own a vehicle, making it unlikely that she traveled far on her own. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance were immediately concerning to those who knew her and the authorities who would later investigate her case. Roxann Ellison was a Black female with black hair, brown eyes, and distinctive freckles across her face. She stood between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed around 100 to 110 pounds. Her appearance was marked by several tattoos and piercings; she had four piercings in each ear, her right nostril was pierced, and she had a scar on her abdomen. On her hands, she had two tattoos: one on her left hand that said "sex me" and another on her right hand with her name, "Roxann". She was also known to use the last names Turner or Wilson. At the time she disappeared, Roxann was struggling with an addiction to drugs, a factor that added to the vulnerability of her situation. The investigation into Roxann Ellison's disappearance has yielded very few public details over the years, leaving her loved ones with unanswered questions.
