Ryan Steven Jensen, 33, was last seen on March 13, 2007, at his home in Erda, Utah. That day, he had a phone conversation with a relative from his residence, located in the 800 block of East Tanglewood Road. After this call, he was never heard from again. The following day, March 14, he failed to show up for work, and he also missed an important appointment, which was out of character for him. Jensen worked as a maintenance employee for the Granite School District.
When authorities searched his home, they found his keys still in the door, the back door left open, and his car, phone, and horses untouched. The only missing items were a pair of binoculars and a .22 caliber handgun. There was no indication of a struggle, nor any note explaining his whereabouts. At the time of his disappearance, Jensen was going through personal and financial difficulties and was about to be served with divorce papers.
Despite being an experienced hiker and trapper, who could potentially survive in the wilderness for an extended period, extensive searches, including in the nearby Oquirrh Mountains, turned up no trace of him. Given the circumstances, Jensen’s disappearance remains a mystery, with no leads or evidence pointing to his fate, and his case remains unsolved.
