Kathleen Ann Shea, a six-year-old girl from Tyrone, Pennsylvania, disappeared on March 18, 1965, while walking to Adams Elementary School, just four blocks from her home. Kathleen had returned home for lunch after her morning kindergarten session, and despite her father's offer to drive her back, she decided to walk. She was last seen around 12:30 p.m. by a crossing guard and a neighbor, who reported that Kathleen was in good spirits. However, she never arrived at school.
