On or about April 18, 1980, 32-year-old Rita L. Rinehart vanished from her home at 1600 NE Russell Road in Kansas City, Missouri. A mother and a woman known for her sociable nature, Rita was at a tumultuous point in her life. She was known to enjoy connecting with people and would often communicate with truck drivers over CB radio, using the handle 'Wild Woman'.
