Jessie Peters Missing Person Case

Jessie Kay Peters, a 14-year-old girl from Glendora, California, was last seen on March 29, 1996. Standing 5'4" and weighing around 110 to 118 pounds, Jessie had blonde hair, blue eyes, and wore braces at the time of her disappearance. Her case was initially treated as a possible runaway, but investigators later came to believe she was the victim of foul play. Jessie was raised by her aunts and moved in with her mother at the age of twelve.

The investigation took a dark turn when it emerged that Jessie may have been abducted by Michael Thornton, her mother’s employer, and his partner Janeen Snyder. Both were later convicted of murdering a 16-year-old girl in Nevada in 2001. During their trial, Snyder allegedly confessed to drowning Jessie and disposing of her body in the Pacific Ocean. Despite these claims, neither Thornton nor Snyder has been formally charged in Jessie’s disappearance, and her remains have never been found. Jessie's case remains open, and she is still considered missing.
