Wendy Susan Byron, a 24-year-old woman, was last seen on August 18, 1978, at her home in Glendora, California. She disappeared under suspicious circumstances, and her car was later found abandoned at Ontario International Airport. At the time of her disappearance, Wendy was living with her husband, Robert Byron. Although he claimed Wendy had moved to Ohio and changed her identity, authorities have not substantiated this claim, and he remains a person of interest in the case.

In 2013, investigators searched the backyard of Wendy's former home with cadaver dogs, but no evidence was uncovered. Despite this, foul play is suspected, and the case remains unsolved. Wendy's case is still classified as endangered missing, and any new information that could lead to answers is actively sought by authorities.
