In the autumn of 1997, a 14-year-old girl named Lydia Ann Perkins vanished from her neighborhood in Lexington, Kentucky. On October 26th, Lydia had spent the day with her younger brother, first visiting their grandmother and then going to her boyfriend's house in the Cardinal Valley area. Her brother left her boyfriend's home first, and Lydia followed shortly after, seen walking in the direction of her own house on Rugby Road.
